Did you love the movie Frozen as much as we did? If so, you're going to be super excited that Frozen is now available on Digital HD today! Yes, it's true! You can finally watch Frozen from home before it's even available on DVD!
Are you thinking well beyond jewelry and flowers this Valentine’s Day? How about something that your Valentine can use every day of the year and think of you? Of course, I’m talking about accessories for your electronics.
Our electronics these days are more than just phones and tablets; they are our lifelines to keep in touch with loved ones, the ways we connect with each other, the way we work, and even the ways we relax. This Valentine’s Day, AT&T has everything you can think of to take all these essential electronics to the next level and they would be sure to make anyone's day.
Growing up, we would disappear for hours, playing in the neighborhood, our friend’s houses, and off in the woods until dinnertime. Even at my children’s ages, I had a freedom that my kids don’t know these days in our urban neighborhood where the dinner bell doesn’t send the kids running.
Maybe this is why so many young kids have cell phones now, starting as young as elementary school. I get it, it’s for convenience for the parents first and foremost, but kids having cellphones is just not for me… at least not for a few more years. I’m not ready to police text messages, restrict game usage, make sure the kids don’t have open access to the internet, or worry about them losing expensive electronics by allowing them to have their own cellphones.
But this year, I’m giving them the gift of freedom in a way that is age appropriate with the new FiLIP from AT&T.
It may look like a fancy child’s watch, but don’t let that deceive you. Once you know what the Filip does, you will understand why I’m so excited about it and why we feel it is a great buy for anyone with a child aged 5 to 11.
Who doesn’t like a good, quality surround sound that makes music and movies come alive? Someone whose movie room shares a wall with a baby’s room, that’s who.
This is the problem with our entertainment room, designed for movies and thumping sound, but that just so happens to be located right next to our son’s bedroom. These days, the only thing playing at Rave Central theater is children’s movie matinees in between nap and bedtime. It’s a sad fate for a room with such promise.
Are you planning a trip over the holidays? If so, you're not alone. The Christmas/New Year’s holiday period is among the busiest long-distance travel periods of the year according to the U.S. Dept. of Transportation, which makes perfect sense to me. I know many of my friends are traveling this year - some as far as Europe, and many traveling over state lines to see family and friends.
What if you could relieve stress about whether your house is locked and secure, know that there aren't holiday packages begging to be stolen off your doorstep or worry over whether you left the heat on during your vacation? With AT&T Digital Life, you can!
You may remember my visit to the AT&T Digital Life House a few months ago when I got to tour the house of the future. If you haven't read my post, you might be thinking I'm talking hovercraft and robots, but really I'm talking about a truly intelligent house. One that knows when you're up for the day, can tell you if there’s a water leak or break in, can control table lamps, fans, or thermostats - all from a cell phone or computer.
All of these features allow you to be in control when you're away - whether it's for your regular work day or a trip out of town for the holidays.
When I get in the KIA Optima Hybrid, I get the sudden urge to just drive. Cross state lines and head out and see the world. There is something about having run your errands all week without filling up and still seeing 450 miles until empty that makes it feel like a challenge.
Go on, open up the sunroof and crank some tunes, because we have some driving to do.
As much as I love SUVs, I’m really a car guy. I drive around a big and clunky work truck all day, so there’s nothing I love better than being able to hop in a car and zip around town when I get home. It’s so much more engaging and effortless, not to mention much easier to find parking.
That being said, I immediately took to the 2014 KIA Forte as soon as it arrived for our test drive. Since these days we travel with a full crew 4 door sedans are very much a part of our world and I’ve been curious about this compact sedan for a while. The one concern I did have beforehand was size, but I was pleasantly surprised by how big inside the Forte is, since in my mind the Forte might have been a bit small for us.
Most people pay almost no attention to the tires on their cars, which floors me. Those 4 tires are what connects your car to the road and what keeps you rolling, yet they don’t get nearly the amount of love they deserve.
3 years ago, I was hit while driving on the freeway and my car lost control, spinning and eventually coming to a stop in oncoming traffic. Ever since then, I am petrified of losing control while driving and even something minor like a little bit of ice or water over a roadway sends me into a panic. Since tires can make a huge difference in what traction you get in inclement weather, tires are very, very important to me.
As you can imagine, I was thrilled when I heard I would get the opportunity to outfit one of our vehicles with Goodyear's newest tire, the Eagle Sport All-Season later this year. I’m really excited to take my car in and trade in my old tires for these new high-performance tires just in time for the rainy and icy seasons.
For over 100 years, Goodyear has been devoted to advancing tire technology, and to applying this knowledge to new products that advance driving excellence. At the Akron Innovation Center, nearly 1,500 engineers, scientists, technicians, and other specialists collaborate to improve tire manufacturing for a wide variety of vehicles on six continents. The result is the new Eagle Sport tires.
