Holiday looks from Christopher & Banks

A few years ago, I was shopping with my sisters and we happened upon a Christopher & Banks store. I'd never been in a C&B before, but my sister in law was telling me how she just got some accessories there and we ended up heading inside. Once inside, I was shocked at the selection of clothing I loved.

While there were admittedly parts of the store were cute but more of my mom's style, other areas were full of shirts, pants, dresses and sweaters that appealed not only to me, but also my sister and sister in law who were shopping with me. Since we were shopping for a specific occasion, we sought help from one of the store associates and she helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We each ended up falling in love with quite a few pieces and we left with bags of clothing and accessories.

To anyone who is familiar with Christopher & Banks, this isn’t going to be a surprise. With missy sizes 4 to 16, as well as petite and plus women’s sizing, Christopher & Banks gives you all the sizes under one roof from 4P – 24W. Their selection of great mix & match clothing as well as statement pieces gives you tons of options for work, play, and events.

This year, to prepare for all of our holiday events and parties, I ordered some awesome new clothes from Christopher & Banks to update my holiday wardrobe. I knew I wore Missy sizes, but I’m really in between sizes right now, so I wasn’t sure whether to go with the smaller size or the larger size. What I found is that the Christopher & Banks sizing is generous. If you are between a medium and a large, you would definitely want to select the medium.

I will admit that it was a bit of a confidence boost when this sweater fit so well in a much smaller size than I would have normally ordered. This same sweater in the next size up looked really nice, but it was boxier than I like so I decided to go with the smaller size and I love it. The V-Neck Rainbow Thick & Thin Pullover Sweater comes in multiple colors for any holiday style. I fell in love with Mulberry color because I adore purple. Paired with the Yoke Stitch Around Town Jacket in Castlerock Grey, I’m ready for parties and date nights. It may be faux leather, but you wouldn't know it unless you read the tags. This is no shiny and squeaky fabric that screams "pleather", this looks like an expensive leather coat for fancy occasions. It should be noted that this is also a size smaller than I would typically order, and I find that it fits really well and I still have my full range of motion, which is very important when carting around kids. But, while I really love all three pieces, my favorite piece is the one I was most apprehensive about ordering online – the pants. Every woman knows how hard it is to find pants that really fit and flatter, so I wasn’t very optimistic that picking pants out of a picture was a very good idea. It turned out to be an awesome idea, because I love the Ponte Boot Cut Pant and I can’t wait to wear them for work meetings as well as for parties. They are extremely comfortable and feel more like yoga pants, so I love that they look put together enough for a dinner party, without all the pulling, tugging and itchiness. If you haven’t shopped Christopher & Banks before, now is the perfect time. All throughout November, they have tons of holiday promotions and in-store specials.
