Back to School shopping with Northgate Mall in Seattle

Sponsored post
Can you believe fall is just around the corner? It seems like just last week I was walking the kids to and from school each day, packing lunches, and taking them to and from extra curricular activities, but here we are again ready to start a new school year. While I don't love the idea of summer ending and sending my kids to school, I do really love going back to school shopping.

Northgate-mall-03Last week we headed out to Northgate Mall in Seattle to shop our favorite stores and check out all the new stores they have added this summer. With great clothing and gear for all ages, it just makes shopping for everyone so easy.

It truly is a one-stop shop, which is why it's one of our absolute favorite places to shop. And, with back to school sales signs in nearly every window, now is a great time to hit the mall! Back to school sales at Northgate

We started at Gymboree and got some pants for each of the kids {they carry the only pants my daughter will wear, so we head there quite often these days}, as well as a few shirts and this adorable hoodie that my daughter adores. I also got talked into a ridiculous hat and headband, but it was all worth it because it was the most relaxing of our stops since the kids sat right in front of the TV playing kids shows the entire time. Heaven, I tell you.  Gymboree Back to School Northgate
Then we did a little shopping for us and headed to some of our favorite stores, like Macy’s and Eddie Bauer, where we found a great selection of backpacks that the kids fell in love with. After backpack shopping we played around in their accessories and looked at grownup clothing for a bit.

We then headed to the AT&T store as I needed to change phones to the newest Nokia Lumia and I found some great options there for back to school. You may not think phones as a great back to school buy, but it's a great time to make sure your kids have a reliable way to reach you day or night by getting them a new phone or some protective accessories for their current phone.

Then we headed to some of the new and newly remodeled stores that Northgate has to offer, including a new Hot Topic and Champs Sports, both of which we really enjoyed.New stores at NorthgateTo cap off our evening of back to school shopping, we headed to the newly remodeled Red Robin, which is always a favorite.  And, of course, dinner was delicious as always.  New Red Robin NorthgateThere are over 130 stores located in Northgate Mall, which means there’s something for kids of all ages. There’s something for every style and budget. Just check out their Store Directory for details and plan your trip ahead of time.

I think we did pretty good for our back to school shopping as we now have the basics the kids need to start the school year off right. Between the piles of clothing and shoes you will find some little treats the kids talked me into at a couple of stores, but overall we stuck to our list and got everything we needed… for much less than I was expecting to pay. Do you have young kids in the Seattle area? If so, you should check out the Simon Malls Kidgits Club at the Guest Services Booth next time you're there. It's only $5 a year and you get a small present when you enroll.  We signed up for the program about a year ago and love it. Not only do they give your kids small toys each time you come to the mall, you also hear first about all the Northgate Mall happenings so you can make sure you stop in.  KidgitsLogoBlue[1]

This weekend they are having their Back to School event on Saturday the 16th from 1-3pm that looks like it's going to be a ton of fun, as always. We love Northgate events, and will definitely be planning a trip to see what's all in store. Kidgits Back to School event
