Flower Fairies add whimsy and fun to any fairy garden

Fairy gardens are serious business at our house. Just ask our neighborhood kids whom my daughter has fully convinced that fairies live in our garden. We currently have a gorgeous backyard fairy garden that is out from spring to fall, which is where my daughter’s love of fairies started. But this summer I wanted to make her another fairy garden for our covered front porch where we could put out special flower fairies from my youth. Flower Fairies BridgeAs you can see, she comes by this love of fairies naturally. When I was young, I fell in love with Cicely Mary Barker’s 1920s Flower Fairies™ artwork and stories and had a whole collection of flower fairies that adorned my household’s plants. Some of those have vanished through the years, but I was really happy that a few of my favorites made it back to me so I could share that love with my kiddos.Flower Fairy pathIf you aren’t familiar with Cicely Mary Barker’s work, I would definitely encourage you to check it out. Each fairy she created incorporates a favorite flower—from roses to buttercups, daisies to columbines, cornflowers to marigolds and more. Since I have two flower-loving girls who needed a formal introduction to Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies world, I recently showed them a few of my old books and then brought out the Flower Fairies from my youth.
Flower Fairy stepping stonesWhen I heard of the new Flower Fairies™ Secret Garden Collection from Ultimate Source, I knew we needed to find some of the new collection for our new garden. The new 23 piece collection brings Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies to life with eight Flower Fairy figurines and accessories ranging from stepping stones to fairy doors, perfect for any young girl or lifelong fairy garden enthusiast. Fairy garden aerialEach figurine is 1.6” to 3.6” tall, made of durable plastic suitable for both inside and outside gardens, but I really wanted to keep them under cover where they would be protected from the elements. Flower Fairy wellThis is our newest Flower Fairy, sweet little Apple Blossom baby. I absolutely love that we got the baby fairy as the kiddos now each have a fairy of their very own that’s representative of when we started the garden. As they get older I’m sure the collection will grow, but I love that to start with they each have a special fairy. Flower Fairies setupI also love the realistic wings that the fairies now have and can’t wait to get even more flower fairies and accessories for the garden. So many cute fairies to choose from! Flower Fairies collectionCheck out flowerfairiesgarden.com for a complete list of products.
