I have been searching for non-candy items to fill those Easter baskets and found some great ideas in the Hasbro catalog. I was hoping for some awesome toys that would get the kids outside and keep them active this spring and found the perfect items for both kiddos from Nerf.
For my daughter, I knew I needed something from the Nerf Rebelle line that she has been longing for ever since I was raving about them after BlogHer last year. Since she’s so into archery, I knew I wanted to get her one that mimicked the target skills she needs to shoot her real bow, and was thrilled when I found the Nerf Rebelle Star Shot targeting set.
With 6 suction darts in two different colors and a cool hang up or set up target, it makes it easy for two people to play and compete. But, my favorite feature is an awesome targeting light to really get a feel for aiming and help her develop those skills for other tasks as well.
For my son, I wanted something more basic, but also something he could grow into, and I knew the Nerf Bash Ball was perfect for him. The flexible sports ball has handy holes , which means even his little hands can grip it and toss it.
Even though we’re just playing a nice gentle game of toss right now, I love that soon he will be able to whip it in dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and more. Since he’s never been super sporty, I’m hoping this is the nudge he needs to enjoy playing ball and hopefully leads to a whole lot more sports in our future.
If you haven't checked out Nerf's spring line, you should do so now - there's something for kids of all ages to enjoy as the weather heats up!
