New Years sales at Simon Malls

Sponsored post basic disclosure
Did you think all the sales and deals ended with the holidays? If so, you’d be wrong, because the sales are in full swing at Simon Malls. This past week I took the family out for some post-holiday shopping at Northgate Mall in north Seattle and we found good deals everywhere we looked.

Gymboree is having their Red Balloon Sale, Victoria’s Secret has their Semi-Annual Sale, Nordstrom has their men’s sale, Lane Bryant has their Ring It Up, Ring It In sale event, Eddie Bauer has their Semi-Annual Sale, Old Navy has their Active Sale, Things Remembered has a New Years’ Sale, and even Starbucks has a year end sale going on.
And the sales go on and on and on…

So, with some birthday and holiday money saved up and armed with a Northgate Mall gift card, we set out for a day of sale shopping. Every store we stopped in at Northgate Mall had huge clearance sales going on, and we were able to spend our holiday gift cards while getting everything that Santa forgot under our tree. Since they have stores for everyone in the family, we each picked a few we wanted to stop in and we made a plan for a whole day of shopping.

Before we could start shopping, hubby and I had to get some caffeine, so we headed to Starbucks and got two PSLs. They make the best PSLs at the Northgate Starbucks. Trust me.

After we got our coffee, we were ready to shop. And we knew just where to start: Nordstrom.

One thing that my daughter has been asking for is matching boots for her and I so we can coordinate outfits. Before Christmas we found identical shoes from Steve Madden at Nordstrom in Northgate, but we wanted to wait until after the holidays when we could spend some money on ourselves without feeling bad about it. And, guess what? We didn't feel bad at all when we walked out of there modeling our black Trooper boots from Steve Madden.

After we had our boots, we headed to do some kids shopping at Gymboree to get some fun winter clothes for the kiddos as well as some cute accessories. Then we shopped the clearance at Journeys for a super specific pair of shoes that my husband has been eyeing, Crazy 8 for some jeans, and then we hit up the Victoria’s Secret semi-annual sale where I scored some really great deals.

We then headed to Barnes & Noble to get some new books to encourage our little reader, and then made a stop at Bath & Body Works to get some winter soaps. All in all, a perfect shopping trip.

After we were all shopped out, we headed to the food court and enjoyed some downtime. If we had a little more time, then I would have stopped at one of their great restaurants, including The Ram, Red Robin, California Pizza Kitchen, Chipotle, and more.

  1. Hmmm… I haven’t been to this particular Simon mall in ages (and didn’t even know it was one until just now!) but… hmmm… clothes for myself? Or the kids? I just don’t know!!!

  2. I would probably spend it at Nordstrom or…maybe the Williams Sonoma store! We have a Simon Mall here in the Austin, TX area as well!

  3. I’d spend the money at the Sawgrass Mills outlet mall, most likely in Sports Authority (oldest son needs new shoes), Gymboree (tights for my daughter), and GAP outlet (clothes for all the kids).
