Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sitting on Santas lap
You may have noticed we haven't been around here as much these past few days as we took some time off to enjoy the holiday season with our little ones. This is my absolute favorite time of the year and I was happy to be able to spend some time with our family and friends near and far.

In front of tree
We had the best time hanging out in front of the tree, which we hooked up to the Clapper just so the kids could turn it on themselves. Sadly, our Clapper must be the most sensitive one they ever made because it takes even hubby and I a few tries to get it on our own, but the kiddos have learned to knock on the wall in order to turn it on if they can't get it by clapping.
As you can imagine, the tree is on 99% of the time, and I don't mind it a bit.

Christmas jammies
Christmas morning itself was a blur of wrapping paper and smiles, and it ended with some adorable play time as the kiddos explored their new toys. Between their new Lundby doll house, the pretend ironing board, their baby accessories, and their pretend foods it has made for hours and hours of play time magic.

I say this every year, but I really think that our kiddos were the perfect age for Christmas magic this year. They love Santa, they are delighted with their magic elves, and they love all the lights, sounds and cheer of the season. I firmly believe that even Scrooge would enjoy Christmas if he spent it with our children, as they could make anyone merry this time of year.

All in all, it was an awesome and festive Christmas and I enjoyed every minute of my time off.Matching dresses
