What do new moms want? Hint: it’s not flowers, candies, or even a spa day. What new moms want is sleep. Sweet, uninterrupted sleep that leaves you feeling refreshed and ready to handle whatever comes your way, whether that is spit up, fussiness, diapers, or all of those and more.
But, what no one tells you is that this desire for sleep lasts quite a bit longer than the newborn stage. Late night feedings, diaper changes, schedule changes, and illnesses will disrupt your sleep well into the toddler stage, and after that is a whole other list of sleep interruptions.
Pampers understands how important sleep is and have started a campaign called The Gift of Sleep. After interviewing over 9,000 moms about what was important for their baby, Pampers found the number one unmet need is a diaper that provides superior overnight dryness. Pampers incorporated this firsthand insight, as well as the brand’s deep understanding of baby and baby’s needs, to design a diaper that both mom and baby can count on for up to 12 hours of overnight protection.
What does this mean for you? Well, Pampers Cruisers are now more absorbent and offer Pampers’ best fit for all the ways babies play freely. This means less leaks and accidents and happier parents and babies. In addition to the new, more absorbent Cruisers, I was also really excited when I found that they now make Pampers Swaddlers through size 5. Swaddlers diapers were the brand we used in the hospital with both babies and continued to use up until the kiddos outgrew them, so I love that they now go up to the larger sizes as well.
I was tasked with creating a Gift of Sleep package for a worn out mom and knew right away who my recipient would be. My sister is currently sleep training her new son, and have been struggling to transition from two naps to one, so there’s been a lot of lost sleep at her house with all the schedule changing.
Knowing that it had been over a decade since my sister splurged on a nice pillow, that was first on my list to start off the Gift of Sleep package. I went with a great memory foam pillow that matched her new bed, and was certain she was going to love it. Next, I added a sleep mask for when daytime naps are the only way to function, a pair of TheraPeds for her foot pain, a candle, a bedtime book for her son, and a set from Beginning by Maclaren for baby and mom with a travel case and bag.
Finally, I added some Pampers diapers for her little one to give her peace of mind all night long and save her from having to do laundry in the middle of the night. Her little man's nursery is now stocked with all sorts of things that can help with the sleep transition and hopefully offer more rest to everyone.
What would you give for just a little more sleep?
