I know it’s only been two weeks since my last update, but here I am again with a “monthly” update. While I haven’t seen marked improvement in my weight loss journey in the past 14 days, I had my first concrete “yay!” moment today when I put on a pair of dENiZen jeans I reviewed a year ago and they were too big.
Not just a little big, but oh-my- goodness-I-wore-these? kind of big. Granted, they were big when I first got them, but still.
It’s a good reminder that I’m not on a Cinch weight loss program, I’m on an inch loss system, which is really quite different. It’s not the number on the scale that matters, it’s about how I feel, how I look, and how I can buy smaller jeans.
You hear me? I’m giving myself permission to buy new. Not hang onto old clothing in hopes it will fit again {and fit the same}. I’m giving myself permission to get NEW clothes that are in style and make me feel good. *Cue closet clean out*
I still have two more months to go until I’m done with Cinch, but I don’t think I can ever go back to the way things were. I’m so happy to be finally losing the leftover baby weight and am still hoping to meet my goal. It’s not looking good for me to beat my goal, but like everything worth doing, losing weight and getting healthy takes some time.
Here’s where I stand now, and where I hope to be in 2 months:
27 pounds to lose
Month one check in -5
Month two check in -2
Month three check in -4
Month four check in -1
Month five check in -.5
Which leaves 14.5 pounds remaining to my goal
I will look like this again...
Speaking of goals, my goal to stay active during the day is being foiled by all the rain dumping in the Pacific Northwest so I’m reviving our Journey Gym this month as well. I really love the Journey Gym since it’s so compact and it’s great for both my husband and I, so it’s perfect to keep up activity during the colder months. I’m also working on some basic core exercises to really target my problem areas and hopefully I will need new jeans by next month!
