When I found out I was pregnant several months ago (it feels longer than the 7.5 months it has been!), I knew my husband and I had some serious discussions to be had about finances.  The thoughts of diapers and baby products came rushing through my mind and I think it was a little scarier for me, because I know the cost of those items.  I have many cousins and friends to thank for giving me this insight as I attended their baby showers and have watched their little ones grow up.  My husband on the other hand, didn’t get hit by things until we were well into planning, preparing and registering for baby.  Needless to say, I can’t wait for him to hold our little girl for the first time to be reassured that she is worth every penny!

4706 As I prepared myself for all of the costs that would be ahead of me in 9 months or so, I hadn’t been aware of the costs along the way to baby’s arrival.  Most of all, I was shocked at the speedy need for maternity clothes and accessories.  Before pregnancy I was a fairly small woman, but that all changed almost instantly, thanks, as I now know, to having gestational diabetes.  I was fortunate to have those family and friends to hand me down the items they had used during their pregnancies… unfortunately none of my friends or family are as short as I am!

I am a bargain shopper by nature.  Some things you can’t stop me from spending time and money on, but clothes have never been one of them, especially with options for paying less for the same brands and items!  So I was very disappointed to find out that my favorite discount stores didn’t carry much maternity clothing.  I resorted to less expensive department stores for clothing but I was not impressed with the styles or the quality I was wearing.  The clothes I was finding weren’t my style and they didn’t make me feel good about myself, which is important when you’ve become “as big as a house” and your body is constantly changing.

4176 Needless to say, when I first learned about Kiki’s Fashions and their huge selection of cheap maternity clothes, I was intrigued.  From searching on their website I learned that this exclusively maternity clothing company might just be right up my alley.  Kiki’s not only had my styles but also a variety; they seemed to have a look for almost every style type.  Excited by the idea of actually liking the style of the clothing I would be wearing for the next few months, I decided to try them out.

The best part of all was that their clothing was far from breaking my bank account.  Not only was Kiki’s offering reasonably priced maternity clothing, it was more reasonable that most non-maternity clothing.  In fact, I was able to put together some seriously adorable outfits from Kikis Fashions with pants, tops, and sweaters at roughly the cost of one maternity shirt elsewhere!

4379 Honestly, at these low prices I was a bit skeptical about the quality I would be receiving but was never the less willing to try.  I was thrilled when my short-sleeved maternity sweater tunic arrived that it was very high quality.  The fit was exactly as I would have expected, not larger or smaller like many other maternity lines I had tried.  The material was very good quality and the stitching was errorless!  Had I really just snagged a quality sweater tunic for 18.99?!?  Indeed I had!

I wore my find to my first baby shower, where I received countless compliments on it, particularly from those friends who had recently had their children.   They commented on how difficult it was to find stylish maternity clothes.  They were shocked and excited (for their next pregnancies) when I told them about the website and the cost of the tunic.

We all enjoyed the idea that I would also be able to wear this great tunic as a sweater dress even post-pregancy.  I'm a huge fan of clothing you can keep and wear for a long 1-home-adtime so I love that Kiki's even has a  whole section designated for "transitional clothing" that you can wear in the early stages of pregnancy, after pregnancy, or when you just feel like wearing something cute, stylish and comfortable!

Now I am looking forward to my next shopping spree with Kiki’s Fashions, especially with the Buy More Save More Sales Event they hve going on right now.  I have 2 more showers to attend and want to be sure to dress to impress for these gatherings also!  I highly recommend you check this website out for yourself or any friends and family who are expecting.

  1. If I won this giveaway, I would buy the Black White Printed Short Sleeve Maternity Dress. It is really cute

  2. I’d actually give the card to my friend’s sister-in-law, but if I had to choose something, I’d pick the Green Ruffled Short-sleeved shirt.

  3. Yes within current scenario we can easily say that gone are the days when a pregnant woman reclined at home for nine months preparing for the arrival of her baby. But along with this a new problem that is occurring is going to work with a bump can raise fashion problems, especially if you’re expected to wear business suits and want to be comfortable throughout the working day.
